We all have those items on our Bucket List that we never really get around to. Working full-time and holding craft lessons can lead to no time to check a Blog off your list. Many of you, that I have invited here have asked me to let you know when I will finally have a blog...so here it is.
I've never built a website or a Blog or a shopping cart application. With some direction from my nephew Justin, here I am, doing just what I've always wanted to - have a Blog that inspires you as much as me and sharing craft lessons and in-home classes, that many of you get to attend.
Since 2012, I started to photograph and document many of the classes and projects I have been involved in. In the projects, I always had some great help. The classes came from inspiration around us. I have always liked to think outside the box when it came to being creative.
For many years, I taught classes in my house. These were inspired by a simple conversation with my fellow crafter, Carol Ann! She encouraged me to bring more people together and to have fun "ladies" nights!
These inspired me to reach out to the Wellness Coordinator of the hospital I work at to hold Wellness Craft classes referred to as "Crafty Connections". Although the budget wasn't very much, I was able to gather up supplies and participants, and every class was filled to capacity!
Over the last 18 months, I've been attending workshops and seminars to enhance my skills and learning more about crafting in general.
Now that I am getting closure to my retirement date; I can spent my free hours working on this Blog and preparing to create craft classes again - this time in my new home area of Grand Bend, Ontario
Weekly posts will be coming soon.
Please join me while I explore new ways to use our hands and our minds.
As always, happy crafting,
