I can't believe that a month has gone by already and here we are in the middle of winter. My retirement date is now only months away and I have already started to plan for craft classes in the Grand Bend, Ontario area for fall 2019!
Today, our Canadian Groundhog, Wiarton Willie, didn't see is shadow (overcast cloud cover), which means we'll have an early spring...technically speaking spring is here in six weeks...and...Willie...he has a rating of around 50% on his guesses. So, for us in Canada, we'll still have more snow and cold weather well into March.
Last October, I was able to sit in on a vendors class at the Creative Festival held in Toronto, Ontario. The vendor was showcasing a way to use a blank canvas (no prep required), adhere rice paper to the canvas forming a collage of sorts. Then we continued to apply acrylic paint stamping, mixed media layers and other stencilled applications.
Here is the result of that day in the picture enclosed here. This has inspired me to create three types of collages that will be in my first classes held in Grand Bend.
As always, happy crafting,
