Good Morning...it's seems I've been missing since February 13th post. Actually, I've been right here but without a consistent Internet connection! Everything seems to be to normal for the time being.
Since the previous posts, I have been working hard in my craft room. I had taken a picture of the album I'm currently working on with the Heartfelt Creation Lush Lilac Collection.
Here are a few picture of some of the elements I've made to go into the album. First is the largest Lilac - I've put in a picture with the stamps and dies I used to make this piece.
The large lilac is just under 5", and it is 2.5" at the widest part. There are a few steps to making this lilac. I stamped the base of the lilac and then coloured it with greens and purple shades of archival ink. I cut it out with the matching die and set aside. The tiny paper flowers that cover this base comes from a large stamp that makes 14 flowers. I coloured them as well, and punched out the tiny flowers with the coordinating die. (To make the flowers pop out, they are shaped using a spritz of water and a stylus. I'll cover more on that in another post.) When the flowers are damp they can be shaped as shown in the picture. Once they were dry, I glued them to the Lilac base. (Some of the flowers have stamens in them. I only did a couple per piece.) I then sprayed them with glue adhesive and sprinkledv"Paperlicious Crystal Clear by Rajini Chawla" on them. The beautiful sparkle creates paper flowers that pop. The finished lilac's can be used in card marking as well.
Next, I made small lilacs and sprigs of flowers with leaves and vines. These are done in the same why as above. The small lilac is 3" by 2" and are also great for card making. Also is this grouping is a wonderful umbrella filled with lilacs. The size is 4" long by 3" tall and can also be used for card making too. The picture below is the umbrella filled with lilacs and attached to a cage that is also a part of this collection.
The next part of the collection includes sayings that can be stamped into a small stamped image of a scroll. The scroll is approximately 2.5" by 2.5". The sayings are about 1" square. This part of the collection comes with the scroll; large sprig of lilacs and four sayings. The dies include the scroll, large sprig and the ornate cage.
I hope you enjoy these lilacs and that they bring images of spring!
As always, happy crafting!
